Nordic Heritage Museum Nordic Lights Film Festival

The Nordic Heritage Museum Nordic announces Lights Film Festival on January 7 – 9, 2011.

A partnership with the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), the festival will feature contemporary, award-winning feature-length and short films from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden shown at SIFF Cinema at McCaw Hall January 7–9, 2011. The line-up of films in the 2011 Festival includes the acclaimed Norwegian drama Troubled Water (2008); Millennium―The Story, a documentary portrait of Stieg Larsson, the late Swedish author behind the best-selling book trilogy that started with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; and Future of Hope, a film that demonstrates the increasing need to make real progress toward sustainable living and challenges the current media representation of Iceland.

A complete festival schedule will be posted on the Museum’s website, www.nordicmuseum.org, in December.
