Joslyn Art Museum Gallery Talks

Joslyn Director Jack Becker on select Tuesdays every month through May (with the exception of December) presents gallery talks and superb lunches inspired by Joslyn’s most tasty masterpieces!

Participants are asked to select the morning session (11:30 am lecture followed by noon lunch in the beautiful Storz Fountain Court) or the afternoon session (noon lunch followed by 1:15 lecture). Space is limited and advance reservations are required five days prior to the event.

Ticket price, including sales tax, per event: $40 Joslyn Members; $45 General Public. Enjoy one free program by purchasing a series pass: $280 Joslyn Members; $315 General Public. Joslyn’s collection features work from antiquity to the present, with an emphasis on 19th- and 20th-century European and American art. Highlights of the permanent collection include works by Lorenzo di Credi, El Greco, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Albert Bierstadt, and Thomas Hart Benton. American masters such as Grant Wood, Jackson Pollock, Dale Chihuly, and George Segal are also represented.

Joslyn is renowned for its collection of art of the American West, and known worldwide for its collection of Swiss artist Karl Bodmer’s watercolors and prints documenting his 1832–1834 journey to the Missouri River frontier with German Prince Maximilian of Wied.

The original building is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the nation, with 38 marbles from seven countries. In addition to the art galleries, Joslyn features a 1,000 seat concert hall, fountain court, education technology gallery, lecture hall, library, café, and gift shop.
