The River and Rowing Museum in Henley presents Wind & Fire, Earth & Space, Water – Jonathan Parker on view now through 27 February 2011.
Figurative paintings from the Tideway to the Pool of London, dedicated to the simplification of the river’s complex subject. Jonathan Parker’s work explores the human scale of insignificance with lyrical references to the mythology of empire, the waterman’s craft and the act of crossing the Thames.
