The Riverside Art Museum Presents presents A Touch of Color: A PNET exhibition on view through March 4, 2011.
RAM’s affiliate artist group, the Printmakers Network (PNET), is proud to present A Touch of Color.
The members of PNET were challenged to create works of art with the subtle use of color added to essentially black and white prints.
Several types of printmaking are represented here:
etching (a process using acid);
screen printing;
collagraphs (a relief print made with a large stamp made of found materials);
monotypes (prints made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface such as acrylic glass or a copper etching plate);
a wood cut; and
many others (intaglio, solarplate, etc.).
Airbrushing, collage, and hand coloring have also been used in some of the prints.
Representing PNET are RAM members: Sioux Bally-Maloof, Michael Bernbaum, Chick Curtis, Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja, Mary Grinyer, Jan Harvey, Dennis Johnson, Jill Jones, Susan Mitchell, Theresa Van Ornum, and Sharon Zorn-Katz.
