The Wisconsin Maritime Museum, 75 Maritime Drive, will host “Kahlenberg Industries’ Sound of Success” at 1:30 p.m. Saturday February 12.
Erick Kahlenberg, the company’s vice president, will share a collection of stories about his family’s business through time; from the arrival of Otto Kahlenberg to Two Rivers in 1853 to the present. He will explain how and why the company started, how it has survived for four generations through the Great Depression, World War II, the death of its founder and main product line, and how it has affected the local community and marine industry.
People interested in attending the program without entering the museum’s galleries or submarine pay $5. Admission to the museum includes attendance at the program without additional charge. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for children. Discounts are available for senior citizens, families, veterans and active duty personnel.
