UCL Museums & Collections presents Distant Vistas on view through 22nd April.
Distant Vistas is an image exhibition that showcases the diverse nature of planetary bodies in our solar system, and also the wide-range of planetary research and teaching carried out at UCL. Recent spacecraft images are often breathtaking, and reveal planetary bodies in unprecedented detail. Images of planetary research being carried out offer the human story behind the research, with photographs often as arresting as any of the spacecraft-returned images. Images for the exhibition were selected from a competition run by the Centre for Planetary Sciences (CPS), a collaborative research group involving four Departments from UCL and Birkbeck.
