The Hammer Museum Visiting Artists Lecture Series presents Charline von Hey, May 5th 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Charline von Heyl is a painter who lives and works in New York. She has had one-person exhibitions at Le Consortium, Dijon; the Dallas Museum of Art; and the Vienna Secession. In 2008, she was an artist in residence at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas. She has participated in many group exhibitions, including Oranges and Sardines at the Hammer Museum, and Make Your Own Life: Artists In and Out of Cologne at the Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania. Her paintings are in the collections of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; and the San Francisco Museum of Art. She will have an exhibition at 1301 PE, Los Angeles in May.
