Family Fun Featured for Father’s Day at the Museum of Flight

Free admission for dad’s with Dunn Lumber coupon

SEATTLE – The Museum of Flight will be filled with family activities in celebration of Father’s Day, June 19. Admission is free for all fathers with a coupon available at Dunn Lumber retail outlets, or online at www.dunnlumber.com. The day’s events are sponsored by Dunn Lumber and the Master Builders Association. Coupons will be available in at Dunn Lumber in early June.
 
Activities include tours of the Museum’s Navy Grumman A-6 Intruder Jet Fighter at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., balsa wood glider crafting and flying, and unlimited Lego™ building with Trainbuilder Productions “Family Lego™ Experience” with “Lego Man” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 
New exhibits on view at the Museum since last year’s Father’s Day include a 1950s Lockheed Super Constellation airliner, the world’s highest-flying glider (almost 10 miles high) and a new collection of 153 intricately-crafted World War I model aircraft rendered at 1/48 scale…including a 13-foot Zeppelin.

The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field half-way between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $13 for active military, $9 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5. Group rates are available. Admission on the first Thursday of the month is free from 5 to 9 p.m. courtesy of Wells Fargo.
