The Mt. Baldy Community Association, in charge of the project, held a groundbreaking ceremony at the museum.
“I consider it to be, shall we say, a milestone in the project,” said Daven Gray, association member and Mt. Baldy history buff. “When you have an official groundbreaking it means something. It means to me that we’re officially getting under way, although we’ve already done some demolition and some asbestos removal.”
The museum, once it is completed, will include exhibits about the small mountain town’s history.
The date of the museum’s grand opening has not been finalized.
