Science Museum of Minnesota Seeds Aboard Last Space Shuttle Atlantis

The Science Museum of Minnesota has some Tobacco seeds on board the Space Shuttle during it’s last mission. The seeds will be studied at the museum when they are returned after the shuttle returns to earth.

The seeds are from the museum’s ethnobotany collection. The priorities of the Ethnobotany project are stabilizing, revitalizing, and curating the museum’s permanent collection of seeds, mainly procured from a donation in 1977 from the Wesley Hiller estate.
