National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame Announces Interactive iPad Tour

The iPad tour is available at the Museum’s front desk to all visitors ages 18 and older with a valid driver’s license. An iPad tour costs $3 in addition to regular Museum admission. The tour is free to active members of the military.

“The iPad tour is a continuation of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s efforts in embracing available technology to make a visit to the Museum as educational and enjoyable as possible,” said Christopher Dragone, the Museum’s director. “We believe the iPad tour will help make the sport of Thoroughbred racing come to life. It is a tremendous tool to both educate and entertain.”

The iPad tour covers everything from the early history of Thoroughbred racing in America to the present-day happenings in the sport and provides in-depth detail about the Museum’s tremendous collection of artifacts, artwork, exhibits, and the Hall of Fame.

The iPad tour was underwritten through the generosity of Museum president Stella F. Thayer. The program was narrated by WAMC Radio news producer Ian Pickus.
