Author Recounts Story of World War II Bomber Pilot Prisoner of War at the Museum of Flight

Lecture and booksigning with James H. Keefe III on Aug. 27

SEATTLE – Author James H. Keefe III will talk about his award-winning book, “Two Gold Coins and a Prayer – The Epic Journey of a World War II Bomber Pilot and POW,” the story about his father’s dramatic World War II experiences as a downed bomber pilot and prisoner of war. Keefe’s extensively researched book is based upon the first-person accounts of his father, USAF Lt. Col. James H. Keefe, Jr. The presentation will include rare photographs and a look into the seven years it took to create the book. Keefe will sign copies of his book following the presentation. The program is free with admission to the Museum.

The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field half-way between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $13 for active military, $9 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5. Group rates are available. Admission on the first Thursday of the month is free from 5 to 9 p.m. courtesy of Wells Fargo.
