Butler Institute of American Art Renovations Begin

The Butler Institute of American Art begins renovations today (Aug 22) according to Northjersey.com

“Although construction on the foundation of Main Street’s Butler Museum was supposed to begin around Independence Day, issues with permits from the New York, Susquehanna, & Western Railway Company have delayed the start until this week.

Borough Administrator Jim Lampmann said that the holdup was a result of the railway company’s desire to have the contractor, the Bridgewater-based Precision Building and Construction, take out a right-of-entry permit because the work would be in such close proximity to the rail line itself.
