The Corcoran Gallery of Art presents 30 Americans an exhibition on view through February 12, 2012.

The exhibition 30 Americans, presents a wide-ranging survey of works by many of the most important African American contemporary artists of the last three decades. By bringing seminal artistic figures together with younger and emerging artists, the exhibition explores artistic influence across generations and sheds light on issues of racial, sexual and historical identity. Often provocative and challenging, 30 Americans at the Corcoran explores ideas central to the American experience.
