Tyler Museum of Art Presents Black and Gold Exhibition

The Tyler Museum of Art presents Black and Gold an exhibition on view through February 12, 2012.

Tyler Junior College curated and organized this exhibition celebrating its 85th year of serving the Tyler community and surrounding areas through its academic, cultural, and athletic programs. The exhibit gives a glimpse of TJC from 1926 to the present, with each decade represented by a host of photographs, objects, and emotions. See how national, state, and local community histories affected TJC’s creation and growth; learn how students, faculty, and staff assisted their community through volunteerism and patriotism; and experience again TJC’s school spirit. The connection of TJC’s past to its future is a reminder of who we are as a community and a testament to the enduring value of TJC.

The exhibition is created through the efforts of the TJC Social Activities committee and B.L. Winn Consulting, along with donations from the TJC Alumni Association, TJC departments, faculty, and staff, and other generous community donors.
