Blackhawk Museum Showcases HO Scale Model Train exhibit

Blackhawk Museum, in partnership with the European Train Enthusiasts, Inc., will be showcasing an HO scale model train exhibit until Jan. 15. Anyone who expects to be in Danville or the Bay Area this coming holiday season is invited to visit.

“With a handcrafted modular layout, a host of guest engineers, and the rails full of locomotives, the ETE brings a unique model train display every year,” Marketing, Development and Membership Coordinator Jon Snyder says.

The European Train Enthusiasts, Inc., founded in 1973, is the foremost North American nonprofit organization on European Railroading. It aims to gather information on the European railway systems and to perpetuate their recreational, social, cultural and historical significance by educating people and building a kinship among train modelers, fans, other relevant organizations and the general public. The ETE conducts public events, working model displays, media presentations and publishes a quarterly journal, ETE Express.

The Blackhawk Museum has been presenting the most impressive collection of coach-built automobiles—vintage cars, classic cars, and rare cars—from around the world for 23 years and offers an assortment of exhibits, lectures and programs all year. It is a nonprofit corporation founded on the passion of guild members and currently exhibits 80 classic cars from every automotive era in its two extensive galleries.
