The Museum of London presents Streets of Gold a multi-media art exhibition in partnership with award-winning arts organisation motiroti on view 20 January to the 15 April 2012.
Streets of Gold showcases the work of five young artists from across the world who have recently settled in London, including Alberta Whittle, James Voller, Golbanou Moghaddas and Bojana Jankovic and Dana Olarescu. Under the creative direction of motiroti’s Dan Saul, the artists were commissioned to create new work that responds to London’s history as well as to objects from the Museum’s collection.
The exhibition takes a positive look at migration, reflecting the synergy between the artists’ stories, artistic practice and London’s rich cultural heritage.
The Museum of London is a charitable institution, funded by a variety of organisations and individuals including The City of London and GLA.
