(Katonah, NY) Over 400 guests poured through the galleries at the Katonah Museum of Art on Saturday, January 14 to celebrate the opening of the Tri-State Juried Show: Art to the Point. Distinguished artist and exhibition juror Donald Sultan was on hand with KMA Executive Director Neil Watson to award cash prizes to three artists.
“Donald Sultan has crafted a stunning and cohesive exhibition from the 697 entries -88 were chosen – and shows unequivocally that there is abundant talent to be discovered in our region,” said Watson during his opening remarks.
The artists who took home cash prizes are:
First Prize ($1,000)
Robert Brush of Beacon, NY for his bronze with gold patina, Golden Diaphragm, 2008
Second Prize ($750)
Dana Rosenberg of Somesr, NY for her woodblock print, Meditation, 2008
Third Prize ($500)
Sherry Camhy of Pleasantville, NY for her silverpoint on gray clay board, Innocence, 2011

Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm, Sunday 12-5pm, Closed Monday.

Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 pm. Tours are free with admission to the Museum
