The five contemporary art centres of Copenhagen – Overgaden, Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, GL Strand Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Nikolaj Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center and Kunsthal Charlottenborg – are behind a new contemporary art festival scheduled for 25.08.2012 – 21.10.2012. An exhibition area of 4000 sqm, together with inner city public spaces, will be used for one of the biggest manifestations of contemporary art yet to have appeared in Denmark. The festival will make contemporary art visible to a wide audience and enable a joint presentation of the latest art from Denmark and abroad right in the middle of Copenhagen. The names of the participating artists and festival partners will be released and regularly updated in the period before the festival. – www.overgaden.org
