South Jersey Museum of American History announces Archaeology Classes, During the month of August, the Museum is offering Archaeology classes for kids 7-14. Learn what an archaeologist does in the field and the type of equipment one uses.This is a hands on course. The students will be operating transit levels, directional compasses, and plumb bobs in addition to other equipment. How to read a map, making stone tools and and constructing coil pots will also be included. Each student will take home an air dried pot.
