South Jersey Museum of American History hosts Archaeology Classes

South Jersey Museum of American History announces Archaeology Classes, During the month of August, the Museum is offering Archaeology classes for kids 7-14. Learn what an archaeologist does in the field and the type of equipment one uses.This is a hands on course. The students will be operating transit levels, directional compasses, and plumb bobs in addition to other equipment. How to read a map, making stone tools and and constructing coil pots will also be included. Each student will take home an air dried pot.

The South Jersey Museum of American History Foundation was established in 1993 to preserve South Jersey’s History and to exhibit it in connection with American History.
