National Steinbeck Center presents Filipino Voices Past and Present exhibition

National Steinbeck Center presents Filipino Voices Past and Present, an exhibition on view through August 3, 2012.

The Filipino Voices Past and Present exhibition gives us a glimpse of the dynamic stories, culture and contemporary issues of Filipino-Americans. The exhibition provides a sense of community by reflecting the experiences of all cultures, improving the public’s appreciation through the eyes of the American story, and empowering all communities by increasing their sense of inclusion in our national culture.

The National Steinbeck Center is a museum and memorial dedicated to the author John Steinbeck that is located at One Main Street in Salinas, California, the town where Steinbeck grew up. The Steinbeck Center Foundation was founded in 1983; the center itself was finished and opened to the public on June 27, 1998. The center houses the largest collection of Steinbeck archives in the United States, with various exhibits on his body of work and philosophy
