KW Institute for Contemporary Art announces ONE ON ONE

KW Institute for Contemporary Art presents ONE ON ONE open November 18, 2012–January 20, 2013.

The exhibition ONE ON ONE enables the artists to directly address the singular viewer. Individual, self-contained spaces that are specially conceived for the new works and only accessible for one visitor at a time will occupy all of KW’s exhibition space. Be it a space for action or contemplation, a cabinet or a non-space, be it performative, installation-based or conceptual, material or immaterial—other than the spatial restrictions, no limitations have been placed on the artistic creation of individual microcosms. Each of these rooms generates its own, immediate and undisturbed situation where art, time and space can all be perceived in new ways.

With the generous support by the Capital Cultural Fund, Berlin.
The exhibition is also generously supported by Dornbracht Culture Projects and KW Friends.

The cultural programs of KW Institute for Contemporary Art are made possible with the support of the Governing Mayor of Berlin – Senate Chancellery – Cultural Affairs.

Dornbracht Conversations
The particularly intimate exhibition situation of ONE ON ONE is the point of departure for the fourth Dornbracht Conversations. With a focus on the current topic “Public Intimacy,” the discourse series looks at social development tendencies and probes the loss or repositioning of privateness.
