The Detroit Historical Museum re-opened on November 23, 2012 after undergoing renovations that include the installation of a number of new exhibitions.
The Detroit Historical Museum chronicles the history of the Detroit area from cobblestone streets, 19th century stores, the auto assembly line, toy trains, fur trading from the 18th century, and much more.
Regular Museum hours beginning Tuesday, November 27, 2012:
Tuesday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Museum is closed on Mondays.
