National Museum of Scotland opens Vikings!

National Museum of Scotland presents Vikings, an exhibition on view 18 January – 12 May 2013.

This outstanding exhibition shows more than 500 objects from the world-renowned collections of the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm. Rarely seen outside Scandinavia, these artefacts show the Vikings in a new light.

The building of the new Museum of Scotland, which opened in 1998, to tell the country’s history from earliest times to the present day, created a landmark museum in Edinburgh for the nation. – www.nms.ac.uk
