MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow opens Piotr Blamowski exhibitions

MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow presents Piotr Blamowski exhibitions, Utopian Design in Gallery Alfa and Obsessive Scenes in Gallery Beta on view 15 February–28 April 2013.

Piotr Blamowski’s exhibitions are presented in two galleries at MOCAK. In Alfa Gallery, utilitarian and decorative objects are exhibited, including an eclectic bench, a rosary praying game, a newspaper rack in Art Déco style and a framed trophy.

Meanwhile, in Beta Gallery, a collection of short art films by the design-generation group is shown. The films evoke places in the cultural imagination that have been grafted onto us. They are daring, eccentric and humorous; often, cruel, terrifying and obscene, too. The dynamic of the action is emphasised by the edgy editing, reminiscent of TV adverts. The soundtrack for each film has been carefully selected.
