Allentown Art Museum presents talk by artist Michael Thompson, or Freestylee

Artist Michael Thompson also known as Freestylee, will give a talk, “The Poster, the Creative Activist, and Positive Change,” Sunday at the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley.

The Easton-based designer, formerly from the island of Jamaica, creates graphics for top Jamaican dancehall performers. His advocacy artwork has centered around the Occupy movements and Haitian earthquake relief.

Thompson’s talk begins 1 p.m. Sunday and coincides with the museum’s exhibit “Haitiian Art from the Rodale Family Collection” running through April 21.

Admission to the talk costs $5 for museum members and $15 for nonmembers. allentownartsmuseum.org.
