Museum of the Moving Image celebrates Danny Kaye centennial

The Museum of the Moving Image celebrates Danny Kaye’s centennial with a special program hosted by Kaye’s daughter on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Danny Kaye (1913–1987) was one of the most versatile, charismatic, and beloved entertainers of the 20th century.

The program will begin with a 28-minute compilation “The Genius of Danny Kaye,” with highlights from his remarkable career, followed by a conversation with Dena Kaye moderated by Chief Curator David Schwartz. Afterwards, the Museum will present a rare screening of Knock on Wood, which may be the best screen showcase for Kaye’s many talents.

This program is free with paid Museum admission ($12 adults / $9 senior citizens and
students / $6 children 3–12) and free for Museum members, who may reserve tickets
in advance. For information about membership and to join, visit or call 718 777 6877.
