Van Gogh Museum reopens on 1 May 2013

On 1 May the Van Gogh Museum reopens its doors on Museumplein with the anniversary exhibition Van Gogh at work. This exhibition marks the end of eight years of research and presents an exceptional overview of Van Gogh’s multi-faceted oeuvre. Through approximately 200 works by the artist and his contemporaries, it offers insights into his development as an artist: how he learned to paint and what his studio practice contained. The exhibition runs until 12 January 2014 in the totally refurbished Van Gogh Museum and is open daily from 9.00 am. Due to the rehousing of the whole collection, the Van Gogh Museum will be closed for five days from 26 April to 30 April 2013 inclusive.
