The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art announce a series of programs during the week of the inaugural edition of Art Basel in Hong Kong. The hub of UCCA activity at the fair is the UCCA booth located on the Level 1 concourse of the Books and Partners section, where UCCASTORE will debut limited editions by artists including Wang Xingwei, Liu Ye, and Yu Hong. The booth will also feature products by leading Chinese designers, works by several young, up-and-coming artists—including Zhao Zhao, Ren Junhua, Xiao Zheluo, and Zhou Siwei—as well as art books and recent UCCA publications.
As part of the Art Basel in Hong Kong Art Salon program, UCCA Director Philip Tinari will be in conversation with artist Wang Xingwei to launch the monograph accompanying the UCCA exhibition. The talk is titled “Back, Front, and Sideways,” and will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 4pm in the auditorium, N106-N108, on the Level 1 concourse of the Exhibition Center.
Art Basel in Hong Kong also marks the launch of UCCA’s newest group of patrons, the Ullens Contemporaries. Focused on emerging collectors and patrons in their twenties through forties, the Ullens Contemporaries add vitality and savvy to UCCA’s ever increasing local donor base. www.ucca.org.cn
