Museum of Science and History presents Jacksonville by Design: AIA Celebrates 100 Years of Architecture on view through September 2013.
This exhibit illustrates how the city rose from the ashes of the Great Fire and transformed into the beautiful and vibrant city we call home today. From the Great Depression and World Wars to Mid-Century Development and Suburban Expansion, Jacksonville’s architecture has been shaped by historic events and people. The resulting architecture has shaped our city and built environment. Understanding these influences will enhance the appreciation of our rich architectural heritage and serve to guide the future of Jacksonville. www.themosh.org
