The Saint Louis Art Museum opened it’s new East Building on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Designed by award-winning architect Sir David Chipperfield with technical leadership from HOK, the new East Building increases the Museum’s public space by 30 percent and adds more than 300 parking spaces, as well as a new, fully accessible entrance on Fine Arts Drive.
Also included in the project are a new Education Center and a loading dock in the South Building, and reinstalled galleries in the Main Building.
