The Jewish Museum Announces New Public Programs

The Jewish Museum announce the launch of two new series: Wish You Were Here and Hard Talks.

Wish You Were Here
Over the next two years, Jens Hoffmann, Deputy Director for Exhibitions and Public Programs, interviews the subjects of Andy Warhol’s Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century (1980), beginning with Sigmund Freud. Upcoming speakers this year include Franz Kafka and Albert Einstein.

Participate in this interactive evening of discussion between Jens Hoffmann and Dr. Sigmund Freud, as presented by Michael Roth, President of Wesleyan University and author of six books including Memory, Trauma and History: Essays on Living with the Past.

Hard Talks
Moderated by author and communications scholar Liel Leibovitz, Hard Talks is a new series featuring speakers with strongly opposing points of view addressing some of the most probing and provocative questions in intellectual history. Upcoming topics include “Is Psychoanalysis a Hoax?” and “Is the Internet Bad for Us?”
