Foundry Art Centre Opens Whimsical Art Exhibit, Rat Race, at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport

The Foundry Art Centre and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport have opened their first joint exhibition – Rat Race, an exhibition of whimsical artwork – open now through February 23, 2014 at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport‘s Meeting Place Gallery (located in Terminal 1 Bag Claim Level adjacent to the Concourse C exit.)

FAC - Rat Race
In today’s fast paced world of hustle and bustle, it’s easy to get caught up in the serious and mundane tasks of life. Living in a modern society, we often focus on the task at hand, leaving little time in our day for the lighter side of things. This whimsical exhibition invites visitors passing through the Airport to pause for a moment and forget about the “rat race.”

The exhibition was curated by Angela Fowle, Executive Director of the Foundry Art Centre. Rat Race is sponsored by the Regional Arts Commission and the Greater Saint Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau. Artwork by fifteen artists is featured, and provides visitors with a reminder of the lighter side of life.

The Foundry Art Centre and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport are hosting a FREE Reception on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Meeting Place Gallery, which is part of Lambert’s Art and Culture Program which features temporary exhibitions from the St. Louis region and the State of Missouri.
