Portraits are the theme for these fun school vacation activities. Create colorful collage person, learn to draw a portrait, construct an unusual head, and print an expressive face. These are just some of the projects we have planned!
November 29: Colorful Collage Faces
Using bright colored paper and fun scissors, children will create collaged faces that are unique and playful.
December 24: Portrait Drawing
Children will use special drawing materials to explore the elements of a face through drawing. From proportion to detail and expression, children will learn a few new drawing skills, and come away with a special portrait drawing.
December 26: Print an Expressive Face
Create abstract faces with foam shapes; roll on some fun colored ink, and print onto to assorted papers. Children will come away with multiple printed faces!
December 27: Painted Portraits
Join us to draw and paint portraits with watercolor materials that blend and mix in beautiful ways.
December 31: Construct an unusual head
Assorted materials of all kinds will be available to build and assemble outrageous and unexpected heads. Try bottle caps for eyes, packaging material for hair, or cardboard scraps for noses; what kind of head can you create
