The reopening of the Royal Norfolk Regimental Museum at Norwich Castle, has been marked with a brass band raising the roof of the Castle Keep. The stories of soldiers who served with the Regiment are bought to life in new permanent displays in the Rotunda at the heart of Norwich Castle.
Army uniform, kit, personal letters and diaries that reflect the daily lives of soldiers in wartime and peace are on display. Visitors can also take a digital journey through the Regiment’s 350 year history via an interactive timeline, opening up access to the collections and archives at the touch of a button.
Gallantry and service medals are also on display, along with details about the men who won them.
