The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is inviting women to expand their woodworking skills with a three-day intermediate woodworking class to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19. Class size is limited, with advanced registration needed.
Led by women shipwrights, the weekend workshop will have participants building a wooden stool, with a focus on the importance of layout and good joinery, among other intermediate woodworking skills.
Basic woodworking skills are necessary to enroll in this class, with tools and materials provided. In addition, each participant will take home her finished stool.
The cost for the three-day workshop is $225 for CBMM members or $250 for non-members. To register, contact CBMM’s Boatyard Program Manager Jenn Kuhn at 410-745-4980 or [email protected].
