F-Stop Gear welcome international award-winning photographer Sim Chi Yin

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum and F-Stop Gear welcome international photographer Sim Chi Yin to St. Louis, Missouri. She will be presenting examples of her award winning assignments on Saturday, November 1, 2014 beginning at 5:00 PM at F-Stop Gear’s headquarters, located at 2653 Locust Street.

Sim Chi Yin is an award-winning photographer who is based in Beijing, China. Born and raised in Singapore, Chi Yin attended the London School of Economics and Political Science. She speaks both English and Mandarin, and shoots regular photo assignments for the New York Times.

She has also done assignments for The New Yorker, TIME, New York Times Magazine, Le Monde, GQ, ESPN Magazine, Financial Times Magazine and Stern. In 2010, Chi Yin was awarded a Magnum Foundation fellowship, and she was a finalist in the “W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography” in 2013.

Admission for Sim Chi Yin’s presentation is $5.00 per person. Space is limited and tickets must be purchased at the door.
