Gliders on display, unique exhibits, opportunities for pilots
SEATTLE – On March 14-15 the Museum hosts Soaring Expo, an annual exhibition of everything about gliders and the sport of motorless flight. Representatives of local flight clubs including Evergreen Soaring and Puget Sound Soaring, will be on hand to answer questions about the sport of soaring and how to become a glider pilot. The events are free with admission to the Museum.
On Saturday, March 14 at 4 p.m., Ed Warnock, CEO of Perlan Project Inc., will give a presentation updating the progress on the Airbus Perlan Mission II glider project and its goal to fly at an unprecedented 100,000 feet.
