Garriott de Cayeux will announce the winners of the Challenge during a public program, “Exploration and Hidden Treasures,” and share his insights on exploration and the art of geocaching. A reception with a cash bar in the Charles Simonyi Space Gallery follows the presentation. The reception features a drink called Ground Control-Ninkasi’s latest brew fermented from space-traveled yeast. The events begin at 4 p.m. and are free with Museum admission.

Richard Garriott de Cayeux is currently America’s only second-generation space traveler. He is a successful entrepreneur and computer/video game designer, and he holds the world record for geocaching. The Flightcache Design Challenge is a contest for the best design of a new aerospace-themed geocache, the “flightcache,” at The Museum of Flight. The Museum currently hosts one geocache.
