10th Annual Community Awards Gala September 19 at National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

CINCINNATI — The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) – Cincinnati Council will hold its 10th Annual Community Awards Gala September 19 from 6-10:00 p.m. at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The theme of this year’s event is “Education: The Gateway to Success.” Roger Rocha, LULAC National President, will be the Keynote Speaker. LULAC thanks the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center for opening their doors to the Hispanic community, and is committed to supporting and encouraging the Hispanic community to become familiar with this great organization.

“The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is honored to host LULAC Cincinnati’s 10th Annual Community Awards Gala,” says Dr. Clarence G. Newsome. “LULAC Cincinnati is an essential organization in our community and we look forward to future collaborations and partnerships.”

During this year’s Awards Gala, LULAC will be honoring six awardees for their exemplary service to the Hispanic Community and 28 college scholarship recipients for their scholastic achievement. “The awardees and the college students are inspiring examples of people who are making a difference in our community,” said Karla Boldery, President LULAC Cincinnati
