SEATTLE – On Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, all U.S. veterans and current U.S. military personnel will be admitted to the Museum free of charge. The day will be celebrated with patriotic music from the Boeing Employee’s Stage Band, and a dramatic showing of military uniforms.
At 2 p.m., military historian Alice Miller presents “Beauty and Duty: A Tribute to Women in Uniform,” a fashion show of military uniforms from World War I until 1980. She will speak about the uniforms’ histories, their origins, and the women who wore them in service. Miller’s program is free with museum admission.
