The Force Captures Museum of Flight on Star Wars Reads Day

SEATTLE – Disney Publishing Worldwide and its publishing partners hold the fifth annual Star Wars Reads Day on Oct. 8.

The Museum of Flight joins hosts of Star Wars authors and costumed volunteers participating in over 2,000 Star Wars Reads Day events across North America. Activities include educational programs, arts and crafts, and a creative writing contest for grade schoolers–Empire Writes Back. The contest calls for fictional stories between 100 and 1000 words; submissions are due by midnight Sept. 30. Visitors to the Museum on Star Wars Reads Day are encouraged to wear their favorite intergalactic outfits.
