Halloween Family Fun During Museum of Fright

Museum of Flight offers its full bag of tricks for a spooky day of treats Oct. 30

SEATTLE – On Sunday, October 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Museum offers Halloween family fun as The Museum of Fright.

Transformed in holiday style, the Museum’s spacious galleries provide acres of safe Halloween trick or treating where every child’s imagination takes flight. There will be spooky aviation-themed ghost stories in the Personal Courage Wing; children can craft and drop ghost parachutes into a pumpkin patch far below a high-flying glider. They can fly witches on broomsticks through a giant pumpkin, test their metal on the gross-o-meter in the mad science lab, touch alien blood and guts, and hop through an obstacle course under the huge Blackbird spyplane.

Admission is free for those aged 17 and under and wearing a costume (with adult supervision); $5 for those aged 17 and under without a costume; $10 for adults.

The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field halfway between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum admission for adults is $23 on-site and $21 online. Youth 5 through 17 are $14 on-site and $13 online, youth 4 and under are free. Seniors 65 and over $19 on-site and $18 online. Groups of ten or more: $21 per adult, $13 per youth, Thanks to Wells Fargo, on the first Thursday of every month, admission is free from 5 to 9 p.m. And parking is always free. There is a full lunch menu café in the Museum and a limited menu café in the Aviation Pavilion, both operated by McCormick & Schmick’s.
