Snap a pic at your favorite museum on #MuseumSelfie Day January 18
CINCINNATI – The selfie. It’s something we’ve all done. You might it quickly and secretively, too ashamed to admit it. Or you might shout it from the digital rooftops. Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is asking you to take pride in your selfies and share them with the world on #MuseumSelfie Day January 18.
#MuseumSelfie Day is an international event that encourages you to share what you love most about museums. Whether it’s a favorite painting, fossil or interactive element, everyone has that one (or more) museum piece that stands out from their childhood or makes them come back again and again. #MuseumSelfie Day is all about sharing the fun.
This year, you can get involved by sharing pictures of you with your favorite thing about CMC not only at Union Terminal, but also at locations across the Greater Cincinnati area through CMC’s Curate My Community initiative. So whether you’re striking your best Viking pose in Vikings: Beyond the Legend, crawling under the aquarium in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum, running from the polar bear at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County downtown or hanging with the mastodon at CVG, show us your #MuseumSelfie.
Pop into Union Terminal or any of CMC’s Curate My Community locations, stretch out your arm and raise an eyebrow, flash your pearly whites or give us your best duckface for #MuseumSelfie Day. Tag us and use #CincyMuseumSelfie to show the world Cincinnati loves its museums.
