Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum to host Working Artists Forum show in August

Members of the public are invited to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Saturday, Aug. 17, and Sunday, Aug. 18, for an art show by the Working Artists Forum. This year’s show—Water, Water, Everywhere—will feature 30 juried professional artists and their works.

This is the second consecutive year for this show to be held on CBMM’s waterfront St. Michaels, Md., campus. All works exhibited at the show are for sale, and include framed pieces done in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. The Working Artists Forum is a juried group of more than 100 professional artists that meets monthly, hosts local exhibitions, and donates annually to arts programs in local schools. Water, Water, Everywhere will be held in the Van Lennep Auditorium from 10am–5pm, with entrance to the show included with CBMM’s regular two-day admission. On Friday, Aug. 16, from 4–6pm, the Working Artists Forum will host a public reception to meet the featured artists. Regular CBMM admission is required to attend the reception.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region, and making this resource available to all. Every aspect of fulfilling this mission is driven by CBMM’s values of relevancy, authenticity, and stewardship, along with a commitment to providing engaging guest experiences and transformative educational programming, all while serving as a vital community partner.
