Museum of Flight Lowers the Lights and Turns Up the Heat Oct. 13 with Art After Dark

SEATTLE – On Oct. 13 the Museum will hit new heights with flighty delights at the 21+ event, Art After Dark. A show in three acts, Art After Dark warms up with cocktails, The Museum of Flight Senior Curator Matthew Burchette, and his candid peep at racy nose art that decorated American warplanes; the program then ascends into a show of acrobats and aerialists suspended from the gallery ceiling; and the finale pushes the envelope, whips up the volume and submits to the glam of hostess Ruby Mimosa and burlesque karaoke from the creators of BurlesKaraoke®. Tickets $60-$80. The event runs 6-10 p.m. Art After Dark is part of the Museum’s six-month Art+Flight project (June 2023-Jan. 2024).

BurlesKaraoke®
Hostess Ruby Mimosa and her burlesque friends will tease and please with the spontaneity of karaoke and the thrill of improvisational performance art. Art After Dark patrons can sing their favorite karaoke numbers while professional burlesque dancers improvise titillating performances on the spot. The talent includes burlesque dancers INGA, Paris Original, Carmen Caliente, King Leo Mane, Miss Texas 1988 and Ruby Mimosa; Gogo dancers Tarzan and Twirley MacLaine; “Dollar Daddy” Beau Briefs; and KJ Baby Van Beezly.
