Electric Fire Engine Brings Sasquatch to Solstice Festivities at the Museum of Flight

SEATTLE – Soley the friendly Sasquatch visits the Museum on Dec. 20 to lead the annual celebration of winter fun, Solstice with Sasquatch. Soley is known for their shyness yet confides the event “allows me to open up and enjoy the company of all kinds of humans. And I’m kind of a night Sasquatch, so Solstice is my favorite time of the year.”

Sasquatch will arrive with a flourish at 10:30 a.m. via King County International Airport-Boeing Field’s new Oshkosh Striker Volterra hybrid electric fire engine, and our furry friend will be making the rounds of the Museum until 3 p.m. Other events include free hot chocolate and live performances of holiday music, family workshops, planetarium shows and a presentation by a NASA Solar System Ambassador. And in celebration of the Wright Brothers first powered airplane flight on Dec. 17, 1903, a Museum Volunteer will engage with visitors while dressed in the vintage style of Wilber and Orville’s sister Katharine.

Solstice with Sasquatch events are free with Museum membership and included with general admission. The Sasquatch fire engine arrival is outdoors and free for all.
