Museum of Flight Last Weekend to See MiG-21 Project Exhibit

SEATTLE – The final weekend of the acclaimed premiere exhibition of The MiG-21 Project is Jan. 24-25, 2026. “Now is your chance to witness a work of art that soars with visual and emotional impact,” praised the Seattle Times. The exhibit is a dazzling show of South African artist Ralph Ziman’s 5-year, multidisciplinary project transforming a MiG-21 fighter jet into a stunning work of art entirely covered with 45 million colorful glass beads, plus Afrofuturistic flight crew regalia, stunning original photos and beaded artwork.

Closing weekend activities include an opportunity to meet the artists, cockpit tours of the Project’s MiG-21 fighter jet, live hand drum performances, beading workshops and family arts activities. All of The MiG-21 Project programs are free for Museum Members and included with admission to the Museum.

The MiG-21 Project has received world-wide accolades in reviews spanning the arts, tourism and aerospace since its June 2025 premiere at the Museum. The last day of the exhibit is Jan. 26.
