OysterFest returns to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Saturday, Nov. 7, celebrating the Bay’s favorite bivalve with oyster-inspired fun for all ages.
The OysterFest menu features fresh oysters served a variety of ways, plus more Eastern Shore favorites, craft beer, and cocktails. The festivities include live music on two stages, an oyster stew competition featuring area restaurants, an oyster slurp-off, free boat rides, children’s activities, and demonstrations and presentations highlighting Chesapeake traditions and heritage.
A special highlight this year: OysterFest guests are invited to celebrate the christening of 1920 Chesapeake Bay buyboat Winnie Estelle after a three-year refit in CBMM’s working Shipyard.
Held rain or shine, OysterFest runs from 10am-4pm.
