For the Claude Monet (1840-1926) exhibition at the Grand Palais from September 22, Orange is proud to be partnering the Réunion des Musées Nationaux (RMN) association on its “Digital Monet” project.
Orange would like to accompany French museums in their digital development, particularly with a view to reaching a target of young people who may not be particularly familiar with the world of museums.
Orange Business Services, the France Telecom-Orange branch dedicated to B2B services for business services worldwide, is making its technological expertise available to the RMN in order to contribute towards the growing presence of French artistic heritage around the world.
With 300,000 visits expected each month, possibly peaking at 30,000 connections per day, the Monet2010.com site must be based on an infrastructure which is capable of guaranteeing a high level of performance, security, reliability and availability for content. To meet these needs, Orange Business Services is providing the RMN with a complete service to host and operate the Monet2010.com site based on a secure innovative infrastructure, with a cloud computing approach, making it possible to automatically adapt to peaks in visits, delivering IT resources on demand. In this way, the RMN is benefiting from a turnkey service, with Orange guaranteeing a high level of availability.

To enable web users to enjoy the best possible virtual visit, the Monet2010.com site is based on a video streaming solution through Orange WebTV.
